Final Drawings :D

For my "Drawing For Design" class, our final was to create an anamorphic drawing with a tool and an animal. I used an old clamp and a viper as my subject matter, so here are the final drawings and a couple extra ones that I just enjoyed doing.

Final Prototype... FINAO!

This is what I ended up with! We were only allowed to use one medium to hold it together and suspend the lightbulb, so I chose wire. It is versatile and workable in creating a cage for my lightbulb, seeing as the final product is a table lamp.

Last Prototype...Ta Duh!

This idea seemed the strongest as a lamp concept, this shape in particular, so I decided to experiment with lamp style. This one is a hanging lamp lit by a black light, which I preferred over traditional light. What do you think?

Prototypes... Take 2!

For the second set of prototypes, we were supposed to narrow down our ideas and create them on a larger scale... So check it out!

New Project Time!

I'm more excited about this project than any of the other ones this semester, and it's because we're working with paper and folds almost exclusively! We have to design a paper lantern! Our teacher had us do many sets of prototypes and experiments with paper. This is the first set of prototypes, and there are 20 or so explorations I did. Enjoy!

Word Building :D

So working on our word all amounted to a physical presentation of seven 3ft. x 3ft. letters comprised of cardboard. Our word, "CONNECT", was to be demonstrated in the construction and placement of the letters, it's meaning was supposed to be immediately apparent. I'd say we did a pretty good job, but what do you think?
